Vermon Group opens a new chapter with the acquisition of Moduleus, the opening of TransducerWorks’ new USA manufacturing facility, and the launch of a unified platform to move faster, deliver more and stay close to customers.
Tours, France — July 8, 2026
Vermon, a global leader in the design and manufacture of ultrasound probes and transducers, today announced three major milestones: the acquisition of Moduleus, a specialist in OEM ultrasound subsystems; the opening of TransducerWorks’ new 30,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania; and the launch of Vermon Group as a unified platform.
Three announcements, one clear ambition: Vermon Group is strengthening its ability to bring even more to its customers — more capacity, broader solutions, and faster response times. This evolution builds on the agility that has long defined the Group’s way of working and on a clear commitment to go further.
Since its founding in 1984, Vermon has built a leading position in high performance ultrasound transducer design and manufacturing.
As a trusted partner to companies developing ultrasound-based solutions worldwide, from startups to global industry leaders, the Group has developed deep expertise across the full acoustic stack, from piezoelectric materials to advanced manufacturing processes.
Today, with more than 600 employees worldwide, over 150 dedicated R&D experts, and a strategic presence in Europe and the United States, Vermon Group is entering a new phase of growth.
“Today, Vermon Group opens a new chapter. This is not a change in positioning. It’s the starting point of broader ambitions to better serve our customers with more capabilities, more scale, and a wider range of solutions.”
Bertrand Boutaud, CEO, Vermon Group
Each entity retains its identity, agility, and close connection to its customers. What evolves is the Group’s collective strength: a broader solution portfolio, shared R&D capabilities, and reinforced industrial capacity.
As a specialist in ultrasound subsystems, Moduleus brings complementary expertise to Vermon Group in the integration of ultrasound technologies.
This acquisition represents a natural step in the Group’s development. It enhances Vermon Group’s historical expertise in transducers and acoustic performance, enabling the company to offer more integrated ultrasound solutions.
The Group is therefore able to support customers across a larger portion of the value chain, providing a single point of contact to address their needs.
Vermon Group also announces the official inauguration of TransducerWorks’ new facility in Pennsylvania.
The 30,000 sq. ft. purpose-built plant, four times the size of the previous site, features ISO 7 and ISO 8 certified cleanrooms, an integrated machine shop, and more than triple the industrial capacity.
This investment significantly reinforces the Group’s manufacturing footprint in the United States. It expands capacity, improves responsiveness, and brings operations closer to customers. It is a clear demonstration of the Group’s commitment to U.S.-based manufacturing excellence and its ability to scale with its customers.

The launch of Vermon Group as an umbrella platform reflects a clear ambition: to unite distinct entities, each with its own expertise, within a structure that makes the full strength of the Group more accessible to customers.
While each entity retains its identity and specific capabilities, Vermon Group now offers customers access to a broader portfolio of solutions, shared resources, global R&D expertise, and reinforced industrial capacity.
This unified platform gives companies developing ultrasound-based solutions a single partner able to support needs ranging from components and subsystems to complete OEM platforms.
“Our customers come to us with different expectations. Some need a specific product, others seek deep technical expertise, and some need a trusted industrial partner capable of scaling from prototype to high-volume production. What changes today is our ability to answer all these needs through one coordinated Group platform, and to address our very fast growing markets.”
— Bertrand Boutaud, CEO, Vermon Group
